Karmawall Acoustic Partition System

 

• Apply dual 5mm beads of Speedline Acoustic Sealant to 72mm head and floor tracks prior to fixing tracks in order to provide an effective seal at the frame perimeter.
• Repeat application of beads of sealant to abutment studs, 70mm AS70 Speedline Metal Acoustic Stud, acting as upright at the frame perimeter to acoustically seal the perimeter.
• Fix floor, head track and abutment studs to the aperture at standard fixing centres for a drywall construction.
• Install 70mm Acoustic Studs, as referred to in the Speedline Applications Guide, at 600mm centres.
• Insert 50mm acoustic partition roll, centrally hung, between the studs at full height.
• Apply inner leaf of 12.5mm acoustic plasterboard, lining at standard fixing centres.
• Fully seal the lining at the wall perimeter with Speedline Acoustic Sealant.
• Apply Karmawall Acoustic Partition Boards, staggering board joints at 600mm to inner lining with fixings at standard drywall fixing centres.
• Apply Speedline Acoustic Sealant at the wall perimeter and all board joints to fully seal the wall.
• Repeat the previous four points to the opposite side of the partition.  Where Karmawall Acoustic Partition Board is to be applied to 1 side only substitute 15mm acoustic plasterboard to the inner lining.
